Here is a selection of different types of handmade cards to offer some ideas that you can adapt to suit the receiver to make them unique. There are many variations that are possible, especially with the use of a die cutter, which creates lovely, clean-cut images for your cards. For younger children, a favourite TV character such as Peppa Pig or a Minion is always popular and personalises the card for the individual child. When giving money, this can be presented in a separate wallet matching the design or incorporated into the card design.
Embellishments such as moving eyes, lettering, ribbons and wooden items add relief to any design and can add an element of fun while also allowing for a wide range of creativity. Additionally, items can be collected from various sources such as little bells from Easter chocolate rabbits or ribbons from Christmas crackers, all of which make nice additions to cards. Buttons or other items such as beads and wooden pegs can also add a 3D element to a card.
